Armed Assault in a Dwelling With the Intent to Rob
Two day trial before a jury.
The Commonwealth alleged that the defendant tried to rob a victim in his home over a drug deal. The victim admitted having used crack cocaine with the defendant, Under cross examination, he admitted to paranoia, delusions, and hallucinations when using crack. His contadicted his direct testimony on several points. A detective admitted on cross examination that the victim had provided information to the police in the past but was not a reliable informant.
The jury acquitted after 50 minutes of deliberation.
